Davey, I swear, you are full of so much unnecessary salt right now. Like, you are overflowing on the dish you call friendship buddy. First Sam then Noah, then Bastian, and now Sam again. There are other seasonings you can try!
I understand that. He does have a right to be angry for a lot of stuff that happened recently. I know he is upset, what with what happened to Chainey, but Sam is clearly upset and guilty for what she did too. Like you could tell, and even now she feels terrible, still trying to apologize. But Davey isn’t giving her any chance to apologize. On top of that, besides Chainey, Davey is letting out his frustrations on people who didn’t even do anything to deserve it. Noah didn’t play a hand in Laz scheme, he was tied up for most of it, and screwed over too. And Bastian, Davey’s just pissed cause he’s dating PJ. And hell, Davey has even lashed out at Chainey in previous episodes because when Davey gets something in his head, he believes he’s right and lets his anger usually take over before anything else. Again, he does have a lot to be angry about, but he’s also taking that salt and anger out on other people who really don’t deserve it.
That being said, I really do love this conflict, I can really feel both the conflicting emotions and anger and sadness from both of them. And poor Chainey, stuck in the middle, unable to be the mediator.
Anyone remember when his old design made Davey look like such a tiny squish? He was so terribly anime and don’t get me wrong but I kinda miss our shonen protagonist.
Tbh as much as I love Sam, I don’t really blame Davey for it. Like, if he never forgives her, that’s his prerogative. But on the other hand, I feel like Chainey understands the whole “had to do it” thing a lot more. Davey’s just all over the place with his emotions.
It would be neat if once this phone call’s over Owen gets chatty and we get some insight into who “Anthony” was. I feel like when we get to that lots of bitterness will ensue on the little angry munchkin’s part, like more than usual.
