Oooh. . . and the plot thickens! Obviously Davey had some bad testing experiences. Lab+zombie never equals good.
The little details in this are really captivating, like how Davey’s playing with the window controls when he could have just been sitting all normal and boring. Chainey, on the other hand, is actually interested in this. He brings up quite the good point though, so it’s a good thing that Lazaro had an equally good point to sling back. I seriously doubt anyone would be very open to zombies after the whole, you know, apocalypse thing.
It’s good how Davey gets all defensive when Chainey asks about him working for Lazaro, and how shocked Chainey looks about it. He probably figures they don’t get along. . . and from the looks of things that’s true! Also: the EXPRESSIONS. . ! I can’t say how much I love them enough! The way Davey leans over and glares up at Chainey is, ugh, PERFECT.
Seriously. I have GOT to stop throwing that one around.
I like the hint of Davey’s backstory we get here too. . . the whole “found him in a graveyard” thing seems to be skimming over something much more complicated. Hmm. . .
