Is it just me, or does Laz look more like a zombie than Chainey in the second to last panel?

First panel Chainey is absolutely wonderful. I’m not sure what it is about his expression, but the angle and tilt of his head is. . . well, perfect. jeez, I need a freaking thesaurus! Tossing around ‘perfect’ all the time is going to make the word seem less than it is, but this comic is actually amazing enough that I feel the need to use it even more often than I am!
I like how protective of Chainey Davey is. I can sense there might be some bad blood between Lazaro and Davey, and I’m curious as to what might have happened.
Chainey’s “it is?” expression is. . . guh, I’m gonna say it again; PERFECT. Just the right mix of confusion and curiosity, not too intense but not, heh, DEAD either. And Sam seems kind of adorable doing the blush-and-stutter routine there. Kinda what I feel like when my crush is in the room, heheh.
