As someone who has attended many funerals, ive seen many people (including my mother when her brother died) laughing at a funeral, they mainly laugh about the good times they shared with their loved one as a way to cope with their loss
I completely second this. Some of his friends were laughing so hard they were asked to leave the church telling stories about my brother. Good times are the best medicine sometimes.
People stared at me when I laughed at my father’s funeral! But it was because they had said a lot of things about him that weren’t true. His family thought he was a religious man, when in fact he wasn’t! And I snickered because I had continued to think how he would have reacted if he were there.
But there’s also the fact that laughing, smiling- most inappropriate emotions are a way to cope. It affects everyone in different ways. :0 (though it’s probably completely justified if you wanted to smack them, since it’s not helping the situation to hear someone laugh!)
It’d be a hell of a bummer if that dude, the guy that died and Owen were all related. (they kinda look like it!)
but in all honesty I can’t un-ship Powen lol orz-
