Chainey is BAE. I’m so glad we finally see Chainey explode for all the shit Davey gives him. Also the fucking height difference oh my god it’s wonderful. Also “murderous firecrotch” and “walnut” are two of the best insults I’ve ever seen. This page is wonderful.

I do love how their height difference is thrown into such sharp focus here; Davey looks like a child next to Chainey on this page, which really matches what’s being said and the emotions we’re seeing from both of them.

OHHHohohoho hold the phone. seriously? did he make chainey do that on purpose JUST so he can find an excuse to berate him later? knowing…no…ASSUMING that the guy cant do the task due to a sleep problem he has little to no control over? intentionally setting up his best friend for failure and then not even ask about the person he told to watch…. just….that is a new low, man. I love how highlighting the height difference plays into Chainey standing up for himself. Especially cause it’s literal. Part of Chainey’s character is his perpetual slouch so he is literally standing tall. At which point I start wondering where Davey found the scaffolding he obviously would have needed to paint the top parts of that big mural. What does Davey own and where and how does he get it? Why do we never see him with anything? Video games, a crossword booklet, a computer, a soccer ball? Does own NOTHING?
I love how different the last page and this page are, even though they’re very similar. Everyone was like ‘oh shitttt son’ when Davey was mad, but yet most people are laughing on this page. Davey was on the offence last page, but was forced on the Defence by Chainey. Good Job sticking up for yourself Chainey!
