Had to pop back and see where he actually was. Following Davey’s kid brother, which was nice. I can get why D might have freaked when he got back and neither were there but, besides forcibly restraining him… what could Chainey do? And he saw the kid with his BF so..
Idk why but I just realized that Davey and Chainy right now kind of remind me of Dean and Sam from Supernatural.. having a fan girl inward squeel right now don’t mind me lol
I love chainey’s face on this page, I can’t wait to see his reaction, will it be violent, will it be calm, who knows? (Though based on Chainey’s face, it sure as hell ain’t gonna be happy. But, I’m conflicted because I don’t think Chainey would resort to violence, but he sure as hell looks pissed.)

On an unrelated note: what causes awares? Or any zombie for that matter? I have heard nothing of ‘bite’ or ‘infection’ and there’s necromancy? Obviously note every corpse wakes or the title character would be dead. No one person could cause this by any means.
If it is a bite with the mindless will do it, but not the awares that could still cause major drama. If no one knows definitely. If the institute puzzled it out and they aren’t there at the time. If Davey,Sam and/or Chainey is out of the loop or telling Chainey was overlooked that’s messy on multiple levels. Never mind what a member of the public knows/believes.
I have a theory. Awares are not caused through zombie bites. They all died in non-zombie related deaths. If they bit someone, though, I’m sure the person would turn mindless.
I think it might tie into what made the zombies rise up in the first place, perhaps due to necromancy (I’ve always wondered if Flip and Jess ever had an origin for the apocalypse. Nowadays, most go with some disease/infection, but seeing a modern divergent would be interesting).
The sound I just made was inhuman and I’m not entirely sure I’ll ever be able to replicate it.
