IIRC, Owen actually killed his own parents after becoming a sapient zombie, and it wouldn’t surprise me if he killed Anthony’s as well. I could be wrong, though. I believe I recall that being mentioned in past installments.

I also checked in frequently just in case it got a update! I’m here since 2018, April if my memory serves me right, and I have so many found memories of this comic! I first started to read it when I did understand English that well, and sometime ago reread the whole thing to actually get what all the characters are saying! So you could say that in a way, Your comic though me English a bit! And I remember what a delight of my days an update of it was! I hope You and your family are doing alright! And I hope to read more of thier adventures in the future however distant or near it might be, I will be here, waiting for the return of the King! Take care!
Hey y’all, nobody get too excited or pushy now, but Jess posted on her Tumblr just yesterday after around two years of inactivity – I’m hopeful for a return to the comic 😀
I remember reading this back in high school when it was up to chapter 8. I randomly remembered it today and binged it all and loved seeing the art style evolve and improve and was pleasantly surprised at how relatively consistently it’s been updated since I last saw it. I got so into the story now which sucks because it looks like it’s been three years since the last update. Hopefully this isn’t the end, but no matter what I hope the makers of this comic are doing well.
This comic was a huge part of my life for a long time. I remember how involved Jess used to be with the fandom, she had that side blog for shipping art too. My friends got me into Maggot Boy well over a decade ago and while I’m not involved with those people anymore, it still brings back a lot of memories. I still remember SCREAMING after a particularly long hiatus, my friends and I were so excited.
I really think that if Jess revamped the site and started updating again that Maggot Boy could still have a large audience. It’s a special story with fantastic characters. I’ve seen creators of worse comics end up with massive success. I don’t know if this wonderful comic will come back, or if the author is even still around, but it was a fun ride all the same.
Imagine not being able to see art by just asking and getting to check up on the author every day (I literally live with her, she’s doing okay, but likely not gonna keep drawing for this until she’s way less stressed, pls stay patient :p)
Gang i was NOT wished a happy birthday this year </3 i just reread pages and noticed someone said "happy birthday" like may 2nd 2012 hfhg i wish i was actually able to read by then cos that would have been really cute to see
I was linked the comic a year ago and proceeded to absorb it into my being. It is extremely good. And I periodically keep coming back to read parts as they invade my memory.
I’ve been reading this comic since it started and I’m still holding out hope that it will be continued. After all, I’ve read other comics that have gone on hiatus for even longer.

Oh man, you can feel the tension in the air. Anthony’s expression is so intense, this is so well done and beautifully detailed.

I haven’t heard or seen anything, I’m not sure about the patreon but this is the most current thing I can find posted on the comics.
