Sorry to hear that! The archive options for this layout were all pretty abysmal, but maybe I can find a nice plugin for it… I’ll poke the webmaster about it, a functional archive is a good idea.

Did you just get here? It’s in Stray Cat Strut when he apologizes for dropping out of Parker’s life after his brother died. They also make references to it here and there. They were Beast Friends and that’s why he’s all Sibling Rule on him. He knew their mom well enough to have a “please use my first name” dynamic even though he hasn’t seen her in years.

There used to be written version of the first chapter somewhere years ago that went into things like a bite size snippet of Laz trying to save his daughter during the original event and Davey explaining how he died to Chainey when they first met. Davey was always a reckless dumbass and a “hey y’all watch this” moment was interrupted by a sudden inexplicable bus. I don’t think the reckless thing even contributed beyond him being in the road in the dark. Guess that didn’t change much in rewrites. The other kid had a camera and I’m like 80% sure he wasn’t Baz so some things have and it could absolutely be totally different.
