So, this proves that zombies CAN feel pain, but only through necromancy. Also, Raimi didn’t seem so bad at first, but now I don’t like him. Oh yeah, and we also need to burn Carville at the stake. Don’t forget about that.
While typing out my first guess, I realized the red coming from his sutures was probably leftover energy from whatever that man did to him rather than blood. Considering all the power that just got unleashed into him, I doubt making him feel pain was the extent of that spell’s effect. There’s likely many more things, perhaps something like being alive again. That being said, my previous theory was such:
Given his sudden capacity to feel pain, along with the bright red coloration now seeming to seep from his sutures (I assume to be blood as zombies don’t heal), I believe he’s in fact alive now. All his tissues have been reanimated so his blood even looks normal, his hearts beating so he’s bleeding, and his nerve endings feel pain and his many stitched injuries and repairs are hurting.
