i love that he calls him “Anthony.” i feel like that’s important, somehow. the moments where he’s referred to as Anthony and not Chainey always seem to be important ones.
I feel like maybe what we’re seeing is the advent of what might be a recurrence of “Anthony” as a result of Lazaro frying his brain like an egg and maybe… triggering some old memories? Maybe even triggering a shift in the binary of Chainey’s personality insofar as Chainey =/= Anthony? y’know, AMNESIA and personality-collapse and all that biz.
i don’t know i’m really stuck on this Chainey vs. Anthony thing. maybe that’s not where this is going but i feel like the argument holds water?? sort of?
anybody else have thoughts on this? i feel as though this could go several different ways, narratively-speaking; the focus could end up being more on the necromancy and less on Chainey/Anthony, so i could be grasping at straws, here.

Unless it makes you feel better I really don’t see much point of calling for Laz’s pain/death when literary convention pretty much guarantees it at this point. Also he’s been slowly and no doubt painfully dieing for years. His heart will likely give out any second.
The only thing I’m scared of is Davey or Chainy going aggro/feral. I doubt you can kill what’s already dead. Just saying.
But yeah UH. I hope Lazaro is suffering from some major pain in the very least.I’m surprised the old hag has enough energy to stand. In the meantime, what was my favorite necromancer doing earlier? I still have no idea what she was meaning when she said she had it handled.
