Owen even points out how that was based on actual logic and not just the universal desire for Laz’s head on a plate. This whole thing depended on either Owen being more brain-dead than the mindless, Davey actually doing what Lazaro wanted for once, or both.
Owen’s a vengeful little killing machine. He’s got a knee brace, an arm to spare and I think is just sadistic enough to let Lazaro LIVE. After he’s torn his life down around him of course.
His shirt brings up why we absolutely love an objectively horrible person. He’s a magnificent adorable little bastard who’s about to reap vengeance in the audience’s stead for all the suffering he’s caused us. 🙂
