I’m torn when it comes to Marianne and Owen, objectivly they’re great characters who contribute amazingly to the story, but morally I hate them both. Marianne creeps the hell out of me and her disregard for her ‘patients’ feelings and psyche as she experiments on them disgusts me and I forever feel terrible for Davey for having his body violated in such a way.
And as for Owen, I had hope for him in the beginning and it slowly dwindeled as I saw him eating more people and his actions towards the otherss in general, but it totally went down to zero when i saw him eating the innards of a CHILD. I k now it be will a while, but unless he finds some EXTREME way to redeem himself I agree that he should be destroyed in the end, somehow someway.
However, I STILL object to him being subjected to the Doctor’s crazy work. maybe in a way he DOES deserve it, but my moral compass demands that be not be made to endure that torture.
And I supose in the end it boisl down to that I just dislike Marianne more than Owen….I guess the scenes with the cats kind’ve helped on that level. Ugh. Evil characters, why are you convoluted and complicated?
Wait, what? What is he hiding behind? Is it an inch thick or a couple of feet, like in the last panel? :S Unless… (turns head and squints) did the whump sound mean he fell over?
I went back to the older strips. It’s a very thin sandwich board that snapped closed when Owen was shot, then sprung open when the creepy doctor came up and yanked out the shot in the final panel?
D; not OWEN! I love evil characters to much to have him caught and manhandled by another evil character D< that and possibly I just dislike her. Something about her rubs me the wrong way….maybe the way she tries to justify it? I Donno. I hate her…and SAVE THE OWEN!
